Even in the modern age of mobile phones, modems and the Internet, Hong Kong natives still observe the most ancient of rituals in order to appease the spirits of the dead. Midnight Zone takes a darkly comedic look at these phenomena, using an anthology format to present three separate tales of the unknown. In the third, an abusive son receives a visitation from his mother's unquiet spirit.
